Follow The Leader

Did you ever play follow the leader as a kid? I loved playing that game out on the playground. Some leaders would make it really easy and some would make it very difficult to follow them. They would go fast, high and low just to make it difficult.

The game was always the best when I was the leader. If I was the leader I could go the places I wanted to go and at the pace I wanted to go. I loved being the leader because it was easier to just do what I wanted to do.

Jesus tells us in the Bible that by following Him we will have the best life possible. But for some reason we tend to think that if we follow Jesus, He will make our life difficult and make us do things that we don't want to do.

'Come to me all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
